over time i expect to have some meta analysis to articulate that doesn’t relate to just one album. theories and emotions that will crop up that need deeper thought.
for example, a disclaimer is probably required explaining why there are particular albums and musicians that won’t appear. for some of them it is related to deliberate avoidance (eg. metallica) while for others it’s because they’re in my consciousness and possibly even computer, but not my tangible collection (eg. large quantities of music by jason molina, RIP).
i’ll chuck in a place holder as well for a description of how the first 10-15 years of my collection built as a spider web. without realising sometimes, bands were connected in the strangest places. fewer than six degrees of separation.
so when i find some time i’ll get a few of those thoughts more fully articulated.
